Chicago, Illinois consulting company has an opening for GIS Application Developer. The position requires the candidate to design and develop new functionality for ESRI-based enterprise GIS systems, and perform analysis and maintenance on existing systems. Experience developing ArcObjects desktop and ArcGIS Server web applications is highly desired.
Responsibilities:
Work individually and as part of a development team on desktop and web-based GIS applications. Project responsibilities may include: requirements gathering; creating functional requirements and design documentation; development and testing of code; and deployment to client sites. Additional responsibilities may include performing system analysis and maintenance, and assisting with geodatabase maintenance and updates.
- 4 year degree in Geography, Computer Science or similar.
- Expert knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS 9.2 and above, ArcSDE.
- Experience developing ArcObjects-based solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and professional work habits
- Web application development with ArcGIS Server.
- Experience with Microsoft Silverlight, Adobe Flex.
- ArcObjects development using C#.Net Experience with related ESRI technology, such as Business Analyst and ArcFM.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio.
