Introduction to Local Land Information Systems for Wisconsin's Future
The concept of modern multipurpose Land Information Systems (LIS) is a relatively new, broad, and complex field. A thorough knowledge and understanding of LIS concepts and principles is difficult to find from any one source. This guidebook, which is introductory in nature, provides an overview on core LIS concepts, methods, technologies, problems and solutions. National Geodetic Survey Handbooks
The SCO offers five handbooks published by the National Geodetic Survey which address geodetic control standards and accuracy, State Plane Coordinate Systems, the North American Datum of 1983, and geodetic terms. More details are given in our Surveying section.
