LIO Survey

Every year the State of Wisconsin Department of Adminstration hosts a Wisconsin Land Information Program(WLIP) Survey filled out by County Land Information Officers (LIOs). This survey is produced to provide a periodic assessment of the status, progress, and benefits of the WLIP to each of Wisconsin's 72 counties, the Land Information Board and other interested parties.

Below are links to the Surveys, from 1999-2003. (Links open in new browser window)

Ramona and WLIP Annual Survey Comparison Study

In June 2006, the Wisconsin Land Information Association (WLIA) Board of Directors and the Land Information Officers Network (LION) made motions requesting that the State Cartographer’s Office (SCO) investigate the relationship of a new federal GIS data inventory tool called Ramona to Wisconsin’s past annual Wisconsin Land Information Program (WLIP) Annual Survey and make recommendations for how Wisconsin might proceed in participating. More information on Ramona is available from the National States Geographic Information Council here: http://www.nsgic.org/hottopics/ramona.cfm.
