- BLMDOC.AML is a modification of DOCUMENT.AML. BLMDOC.AML works within the ARC/Info environment and extracts some elements of metadata automatically from a coverage. Until the most recent (May 31, 1996) modification of DOCUMENT.AML by USGS, it had been troublesome for metadata creators who wanted to pass its output through mp for validation. It output fields not in the current (June 8, 1994) version of the CSDGM and created an irregularly indented output report which choked mp. The BLM modifications implemented in BLMDOC rectified some of these limitations.
