Abstract: In 1991, Dodge County was part of a three county consortium effort to regionally densify the Wisconsin HARN (High Accuracy Reference Network) ). The project was done in cooperation with the Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation and Rock and Jefferson Counties. Following the WiDOT GPS Survey Standards and Specifications for Wisconsin HARN Densification (included in the Request for Proposals), Dodge County developed a locally densified geodetic network at the primary (5-1ppm stations), secondary (14-2ppm stations), and tertiary (57-4ppm stations) levels. The resulting geographic coordinate values, together with levels. The resulting geodetic positions were compiled into a digital file available to the general public, along with the station number, name, Dodge County Coordinate System and State Plane (83) coordinate values in units of both meters and US Survey Foot.
Purpose: This data set is intended to be used by the surveying and mapping community who will reference work to the Dodge County GPS Net, along with other station description information.
Supplemental_Information: Schematic station location diagrams are also available for the Dodge County GPS Net, either county-wide or by individual civil townships. Individual station descriptions are also available which include monument, station recovery, to-reach descriptions, and GPS station visibility diagrams.
