Subject: ArcView Metadata Collector v.2.0

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Coastal Services
Center's ArcView(r) Metadata Collector v.2.0 is now available for public
download.  The ArcView Metadata Collector v.2.0 is an ArcView extension that
provides a dialog for the production of Federal Geographic Data Committee
(FGDC)-compliant metadata for most data types supported by ArcView.
This extension is an update to the original version released in March
of 1998. Some of the updates to the original version are:

   * a new and improved user interface designed with Dialog Designer, 
   * more file saving and appending options, 
   * more attribute documentation options, 
   * the option to import and edit previously collected metadata, 
   * the ability to move backward or forward throughout the tool, and 
   * the option to stop and save at any point during the metadata collection
     process. 

Windows and UNIX versions of the ArcView Metadata Collector v. 2.0 can be
