The reason for doing this is that Tcl/Tk runs on Windows 95 and NT, so this provides an xtme-like editor for that somewhat-popular platform. It's a bit rough still, as I haven't worked all the ins and outs out of the installation process, but I think it is at the point where it can actually be used to do metadata editing. I do expect that changes will come quickly for a while, but I think I've trained you all to expect that from me ;-) So don't fret if it does things that look strange, just let me know what you think and I can work on the most obvious things first. The Tkme executable comes in the bin_w95.tgz file, which is to say http://geochange.er.usgs.gov/pub/tools/metadata/bin_w95.tgz You'll need Tcl/Tk for Windows, which you can get as ftp://ftp.sunlabs.com/pub/tcl/tcl80p2.exe I'm building a web page for Tkme at http://geochange.er.usgs.gov/pub/tools/metadata/tools/doc/tkme.html Please let me know how it goes.
