An exhibit of eleven maps spanning 100 years beginning in 1755 reflect Wisconsin’s evolution from being part of New France, through statehood and establishment of rural townships. The maps, from the collection of George Parker of Janesville, will be on display November 7-30 at the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters in Madison.
The Academy is located at 1922 University Avenue, near the western part of the UW-Madison campus. The exhibit is open during normal Academy business hours. For details, visit the Academy’s web site, telephone 608/263-1692, or e-mail contact@wisconsinacademy.org.
