Two organizations are raising money to fund activities honoring Professor Paul Wolf who died early in 2002. Wolf taught civil engineering at UW-Madison for 23 years and authored popular textbooks on surveying and photogrammetry.
The university has a goal of $1 million to endow a professorship in Wolf’s name. According to Civil and Environmental Engineering professor Jeff Russell, $115,000 has been pledged to date, despite few large donations so far. The funds will be invested and earnings will support the faculty position.
The American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing has established a scholarship honoring Wolf. Aero-metric Engineering, Inc. of Sheboygan has made a contribution of $2,000 to start this fund.
