Tom Krauskopf, an employee of the Wis. Dept. of Administration, retires on August 22. From his earliest days in the State Planning Office to leadership of the division including the Office of Land Information Services, Tom has been involved in mapping and land information.
He served on the Wisconsin Land Records Committee (1985-1987) which laid the groundwork for the state’s land information program. He also has been a member of our office’s advisory committee as well as the Geographic Names Council for about twenty years.
Krauskopf began his career with DOA in 1972, immediately after receiving his master’s degree from UW-Madison where he worked with Prof. Ben Niemann.
