The process of confirmation for Governor Doyle’s six nominees for positions on the Wisconsin Land Information Board will begin on January 14. In Madison at 10:00 a.m. that day, the State Senate’s Committee on Homeland Security, Military & Veterans Affairs and Government Operations will hold a public hearing.
Committee action will take place sometime after the hearing, perhaps at a later date. Nominations approved the by committee are then forwarded to the full Senate for consideration.
The governor announced appointments to the WLIB in three stages this last fall and early winter. The nominees (and the year their terms will expire if they are confirmed) are:
James Baumgart, 2007; David Eisele, 2006; Joyce Fiacco, 2005; Jane Licht, 2007; Michael Romportl, (no date); James Servais 2009
