I’ve received several time-sensitive notices from the Wisconsin Land information Association (WLIA) over the last several weeks, and want to pass them along to Bulletin readers.
Renew your membership, or consider joining
WLIA President Ken Pabich recently sent a friendly reminder to all members asking them to renew their annual memberships. Although the memberships run on a calendar year, existing members have until February 28th, 2006 to renew. For anyone not already a member, visit the WLIA Web site for more information.
Nominate an outstanding individual or organization
In other news, WLIA is seeking nominations for individuals and organizations for their 2006 awards. The four categories available are:
- Outstanding Contribution Award
- Friend of Land Records Award
- Allen H. Miller Sustained Service Award
- Local Government Achievement Award
Nominations for are due by January 13, 2006, and should be sent to Alissa Bails.
Is the WLIA board in your future?
Finally, the WLIA Nominations Committee is soliciting members to run for President-elect and seats on the Board of Directors. Ballots will be mailed out in early February, with the results announced during the annual conference on March 3rd. Proving she remains dedicated to WLIA despite a recent move to Nashville, Alissa Bails is also the contact person to receive nomination forms.
Nominations for Director or President-elect are due by December 30, so act fast!
