The American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) recently announced that UW-Madison graduate student Jamon Van Den Hoek is the 2006 recipient of their Paul R. Wolf Memorial Scholarship.
The $500 annual award is made to a graduate student currently enrolled or intending to enroll in a college or university in the United States, who is pursuing a program of study in preparation for entering the teaching profession in the general areas of surveying, mapping, or photogrammetry. Recognized nationally and internationally, the late Paul Wolf was an outstanding UW-Madison professor who passed away in early 2002.
Jamon, currently a student in the UW Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, will be a PhD candidate in the UW Department of Geography starting in the fall of 2006.
