The Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Surveying and Mapping Section recently moved from the Hill Farms State Office Building in Madison to the northeast side of the city near the Dane County Regional Airport. Their new address is 3502 Kinsman Blvd., Madison, WI, 53704. Along with Section staff, DOT’s extensive archive of nearly 500,000 aerial photographs made the move as well.
The Surveying & Mapping Section provides survey data and support, aerial imagery and high accuracy mapping for DOT engineering projects around the state, produces the State Highway Map and County Map series, and sells reproductions of existing aerial imagery to the public.
