Jerry Sullivan has accepted a GIS Project Manager position with the Science Information Services Section, Bureau of Integrated Science Services, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
In this position, Jerry will manage a large EPA grant project that will result in a web-based decision-support system for watershed management. This system will link several web-based tools developed by the Midwest Spatial Decision Support Systems Partnership, and will utilize the National Environmental Information Exchange Network.
Jerry has over 25 years experience with GIS, as a consultant, data and outreach specialist, and senior university lecturer. He previously has worked for the UW’s Land Information and Computer Graphics Facility, Wisconsin DNR (in the former Bureau of Enterprise Information and Technology Applications, BEITA), Wisconsin DOA (in the Office of Land Information Services, and Division of Enterprise Technology), and the Wisconsin State Cartographer’s Office. He also has been an active member of the Wisconsin Land Information Association and related professional organizations.
He holds a BS in Natural Resources and a Master of Regional Planning from the University of Michigan, and was a Ph.D. dissertator in Environmental Monitoring at UW-Madison.
