Ayres Associates, headquartered in Eau Claire, recently announced the promotion of two veteran staffers.
Fred Halfen was recently selected to lead Ayres Associates’ energy corridors initiative. He joined Ayres in 1977. Fred was promoted to production manager in 1982, and became vice president of the photogrammetry division in 1987. In 1999 he was named vice president of the Madison office, a role he will maintain in addition to his new assignment. Among his many accomplishments, Fred served as president of the Wisconsin Land Information Association in 2006, and was an appointed member of the former Wisconsin Land Information Board from 1998-2003.
Kirk Contrucci was promoted to vice president of Ayres Associates’ photogrammetry operations. Kirk joined Ayres in 1985 as a stereo plotter operator, and later became production manager in 1988. He served as manager of photogrammetric services since 1991 until his recent promotion. Kirk is a 1984 graduate of UW-Madison, and is active in many professional organizations, including the Wisconsin Land Information Association.
