The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) in cooperation with the National Geodetic Survey (NGS) is hosting a gathering of experts to discuss regional height modernization issues on September 24-25 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Madison.
According to the agenda, the event will feature a mix of speakers from NGS, DOT, Texas A&M University, and the North Carolina Geodetic Survey. Attendees will also hear presentations from seven states in the western Great Lakes region. The second day of the event is primarily a working session for state representatives having an interest in developing or expanding a Height Modernization Program relationship with NGS.
Registration for September 24th run $40. The meeting on the 25th is free.
Because of Wisconsin’s past efforts in height modernization, the Wisconsin DOT has been selected to provide leadership in the region.
