The next major meeting of the Wisconsin Land Information Association will happen Thursday and Friday, October 16-17, at the Heidel House Resort in Green Lake. The meeting theme is “Building the case for GIS and return on investment (ROI).”
Details of the preliminary agenda are still being finalized, but a sampling of presentation titles includes “GIS benefits accrued during the 2008 flooding event” (Andy Erdman, Jefferson Co.), “Baltimore County, Maryland ROI case study” (Doug Adams, Baltimore County, MD), “There’s more to selling GIS technology than feature-benefit selling” (Chris Vanderheyden, Double Digit Sales Growth LLC), among others.
Registration for Thursday runs $60 for WLIA members ($70 for non-members), while the Friday portion is $40 for members ($50 non-members).
