Last week, Martin Roche, Howard Veregin, and I did a road trip around the state for a series of meetings aimed at gathering your feedback on the future of aerial imagery in Wisconsin.
We had a total of about 120 people attend meetings held in Stevens Point, Madison, Waukesha, Neenah, and Eau Claire. We are still in the process of sorting through the results of the meetings, but once we finish that task, all of the notes and an executive summary will be posted on the Wisconsin Aerial Imagery Business Plan project Web site.
Webinars up next
We had good attendance last week, but I want to be sure everyone has the opportunity to provide input into the project. To that end, we are hosting a series of online “Webinars” during the week of October 15th. All you need to participate is a computer with an Internet connection and full audio capabilities (microphone and speakers). If you don’t have a microphone on your computer, you can also dial in to a teleconference line for the audio portion of the meeting.
The purpose of these one-hour online Webinars is to present preliminary results of the recent Wisconsin aerial imagery user survey, and to have an open forum on what we learned during our September 24th to 28th imagery road show. We will also take your questions and feedback during the session.
We thought it would be useful to get people together from similar organizations and interests (e.g., state agencies) for some of the meetings. To be clear though, you are welcome to attend any of the sessions if that works best for your schedule! Drop me a line if you have any questions on the upcoming Webinars, or the Aerial Imagery Business Plan Project.
