The UWM GIS Council has again planned a full day of activities on campus that showcase area GIS projects and resources. All sessions are free, but registration is appreciated.
Activities include concurrent hands-on workshops, presentations by area GIS professionals, a luncheon with featured speaker Dr. Mark Salling of URISA’s GISCorps, and a Map Gallery displaying numerous GIS projects by UWM and area agencies. With your involvement, the UWM GIS Council expects this event to be highly successful and as well-attended as last year. We hope you can participate.
Keep an eye on our Web site for more information.
GIS Day Sponsorship Makes the Day a Success and Furthers Students’ Education in GIS
We invite you to also participate as a sponsor. Your sponsorship makes the day possible. GIS Day keeps amateurs and professionals aware of developments in the field, and enhances skills. The competitive student awards provide both recognition for superior work and a modest financial award for educational purposes. To become a sponsor go to http://www4.uwm.edu/gis/giving/ or contact Donna Genzmer at (414)-229-4865.
