Abstract: This URISA Certified Workshop will help participants understand the addressing process, managing address data, and the organizational challenges related to addressing. The workshop will guide participants in developing a Master Address Repository that will serve the needs of the entire organization. It will also acquaint participants with principles of addressing that will posture the organization for cross departmental data interoperability and forward looking integration. The workshop will review the Federal Geographic Data Committee Street Address Data Standard, and help participants understand how the standard can help build quality address data. An overview of how Next Generation 9-1-1 is influenced by addressing decisions and standards will also be addressed.
