The next major event for the Wisconsin Land Information Association is happening October 9-10 at the Heidel House Resort in Green Lake, WI. Registration is now open on the WLIA Website, and runs $95 for members or $110 for non-members.
The preliminary agenda includes a wide range of topics. A series of 15-minute “lightning talks” on Thursday will cover mobile and online mapping. There will also be two sessions on open source (spoiler: you don’t have to pick between Esri and open), and two sessions on UAV research at UW-Eau Claire and UW-Whitewater. Other topics include multi-jurisdictional GIS and asset management, making Census data more accurate in Wisconsin, batch geocoding, and more.
Founded in 1987, WLIA is a grassroots organization representing a collection of concerned professionals working to develop, maintain, and apply a network of statewide land information systems.
