UW-Madison Geospatial Summit attracts attendees from around the state

The UW-Madison Geospatial Alliance hosted another successful Geospatial Summit this year. The event, held at Union South on Monday, April 20, 2015, attracted people from locations around the state. Over 100 people registered for the event.

While primarily an academic conference, there is strong interest on the part of government agencies, private companies, non-profits, and the general public. Representatives from various UW system campuses were also present.

This was the sixth annual Geospatial Summit. The event began at 11am with Dr. Nick Chrisman’s keynote address followed by thirteen, 20-minute sessions by faculty, staff, students, and members of the state’s geospatial community. The event concluded at 3pm with Dr. David Cowen’s keynote address.
