The Office of Emergency Communications (OEC) in the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs’ (DMA) has issued a Request for Proposal for NextGen9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) GIS data management services. The results of the proposal solicitation will be used to award a contract for such services.
These services will assist local GIS stakeholders prepare data for an aggregate statewide GIS dataset necessary for NG9-1-1 implementation. Some key functions of the service provider will be to:
1) Provide ongoing GIS data management services, statewide data aggregation, and transition to a master address guide.
2) Achieve GIS-based 9-1-1 call routing within the NG9-1-1 system.
3) Perform NG9-1-1 GIS data transition and implementation support, including technical assistance, education and outreach.
The solicitation is requesting NG9-1-1 GIS database management services that are fully compliant with NENA i3 NG9-1-1 GIS data standards, Wisconsin NG9-1-1 GIS standards, and can support a fully functional NG9-1-1 GIS-based call routing platform.
The RFP for NG9-1-1 GIS Data Management Services is due July 19, 2022.
