The WI Dept. of Administration (DOA) has set the date for receiving public comments on proposed changes to the administrative rule that governs the opperation of the state’s Land Information Program. The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, August 2, 3:30 pm, Room 4B, DOA Building, 101 East Wilson St., Madison, WI. Comments will also be received by mail up to August 11, send to Donna Sorenson, Dept. of Administration, P.O. Box 7864, Madison, WI 53707-7864.
Proposed changes to the administrative rule include, changing all Land Information Board references in the existing rule to the DOA; adding that the DOA when awarding WLIP grants may seek advice from local governmnet and other experts; that DOA will notify counties on grant amounts prior to August 1st of each year; that “base budget” grants to counties will be increased to $50,000 annually; and that a process will be established to prioritize grant categories.
