The Wisconsin Land Information Association (WLIA) recently announced details on their upcoming spring regional meeting, to be held in Stevens Point on June 7-8 at the Holiday Inn Convention Center. The emphasis for the meeting is on street addressing and wireless E-911 issues.
According to the conference flyer, planned topics include:
- Census LUCA – What does this mean to the GIS technical people and its impacts on local grant $$$$
- What do we look for when we get the TIGER data and compare it against our local data
- Census Data – How are we using the data today?
- Geocoding- Techniques for successful geocoding
- Wireless E-911 – The battles we fight getting GIS data into the dispatch center
- On-line Address – One county’s online project eases the communication gap
- Address management issues and solutions
- What is the scoop on the future of wireless E-911 funding?
