GIS Intern

Position Summary and Job Duties

This is a project internship opportunity.  The primary tasks for the intern will be updating the land use inventory, hydrology and railroads using current and historic LiDAR and Imagery. The intern will also be responsible for several smaller projects as needed by planning and economic development staff.

40% Update Land Use Inventory
20% Update Hydrology
20% Update Railroads
10% Create and Update Economic Development Maps
10% Other duties as assigned

Success Factors (KSA’s)

•  Experience editing with ArcGIS Pro
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to solve problems
• Ability to be self-motivated

Job Requirements, Education, Training & Experience

• Graduate or Undergraduate student, or recent graduate in Geographic Information Systems
• Experience using ArcGIS Pro required
