Job Description

As an Entry-Level GIS Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting our projects within the Environment and Health business unit. You’ll use GIS software to analyze spatial data, create informative maps to contribute to the remediation, groundwater monitoring and site assessment projects. Applicant will work within a team of GIS and Data specialists to support project teams throughout the country. This position is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates looking to apply their GIS knowledge to real-world environmental challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, process, and analyze geospatial data to support environmental projects
  • Develop high-quality maps and visualizations for project reports and presentations
  • Create, maintain, and update GIS databases and products
  • Create groundwater contour maps
  • Map creation for site characterization and permit applications
  • Support project field teams with GPS and field maps
  • Provide recommendations for GIS best practices and tools to project teams

Qualifications

About You:

  • Strong foundation in GIS principles and experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro
  • Preferred experience with ESRI Survey123 field data collection and development
  • Preferred experience with the ESRI online platform (ArcGIS Online, Enterprise Portal, Experience Builder)
  • Microsoft Power BI, and Python a plus
  • Relational Database knowledge including Microsoft Access and SQL a plus
  • Experience with environmental data management in Earthsoft EQuIS a plus
  • Understanding of environmental science and sampling, chemistry, and geology
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the GIS and environmental fields
