The State Cartographer’s Office Annual Report for 2023-24 is now available on our publications page.
We compile and publish a report each year to inform our partners and friends in the geospatial community, as well as the general public, about our activities over the previous year. Topics include: our mission and goals; staff and student profiles; funded projects and internal initiatives, presentations given and events organized, and more!
The theme of this year’s report is mapping technology of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. This theme reflects the fact that 2024 is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the State Cartographer’s Office at UW-Madison.
