SCO’s Newest App: Wisconsin’s Hidden Communities

It’s been a while since we last reached out to you about phantoms and unincorporated communities! Just in case you need a reminder, this ever-evolving project is about communities that often do not appear on maps, or conversely, appear on maps when they shouldn’t. Some are small population centers that have thrived, while others have disappeared or barely hung on.

Well, we are excited to share that we now have an app on the SCO website: Wisconsin’s Hidden Communities. After exploring phantoms, unincorporated communities and unverified locales, we invite you to share the app with your family, friends and neighbors. Please don’t hesitate to send us an email to share photos and anecdotes about places familiar to you and yours!
