GIS Project Manager

Ayres Associates is seeking a GIS Project Manager in our Madison, Wisconsin office. The ideal candidate will have a degree in GIS, geography, cartography or a related field; 5 years of experience in implementing GIS in municipal or county government; and a thorough knowledge of acceptable practices and standards of GIS systems including design, configuration, installation, support and Internet applications. Expertise in using ESRI products, AutoCAD Map, or GeoMedia will be beneficial. Good technical writing skills and public speaking experience a plus.

The GIS Project Manager is responsible for developing and managing GIS projects with municipal and county governments within the mid-west. Duties will include client contact and development, proposal preparation, assisting the Manager of GIS Services in developing project plans and budgets, and managing multiple GIS related projects.
