Crop Model Database Assistant

We seek a creative and outgoing person with some previous experience in crop modeling and agricultural sciences. The prospective candidate will assist our team with an on-going project conducted at our office in Madison, Wisconsin.

This position could be an internship, or a part of some undergraduate/graduate research project.

Responsibilities:

• Searching for, collecting, and organizing information about crop models
• Helping with maintenance of crop model database
• In-depth researching, mining and testing selected crop models
• Networking with researchers and practitioners developing or using crop models worldwide.

The candidate should:

• Have interest in and experience on the subject of crop modeling
• Be able to work 20 hours / week both from our office and off-site (library, Internet, phone communications).
• Be available from March 15th, 2004 to June 30th, 2004 (with possible longer term employment)
• Should possess good writing and verbal communications skills
• Have (or be in process of obtaining) agricultural sciences related university

degree
