Forester Resource Planning

Wausau Paper has an immediate opening for a Forester, Forest Resource Planning position to plan and administer of all forest management activity on approximately 35,000 acres of company timberland including setting up and administering timber sales, conducting reconnaissance and updating forest inventory, cruising and appraisal of company timberlands. This individual will also be required to maintain a GIS and a forest inventory database, assist with strategic forest resource development and involved in forest regulatory compliance. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in forestry with business or real estate background preferred and a minimum of 5 years experience in forest timberland management with increasing levels of responsibility. Good computer skills and business skills with knowledge and use of GIS and GPS very desirable. Excellent salary and benefit package.
