Create, edit, and analyze digital maps using ESRI ArcGIS 8+ products. Convert maps and related databases to facilitate the exchange of data between the Village and other agencies. Provide support for and contribute to the maintenance of municipal water, sanitary sewer, and storm water system maps. Update other digital maps such as election wards, land use, zoning, and police dispatch areas. Create special purpose display maps, tables, charts, and graphs as assigned by the GIS Coordinator. Use Microsoft Access/Excel and SQL to facilitate the creation, maintenance, distribution, and use of GIS databases. Design and implement training classes for casual users and provide support and trouble-shooting services to same. Monitor and contribute to the maintenance of plotters and GIS related printers.
QUALIFICATIONS: One to three years’ experience with ESRI software, most importantly ArcInfo 8+. Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office products required. Experience with Crystal Reports, ArcIMS, or ArcSDE, and other ESRI software extensions helpful.
