Position involves using primarily ESRI GIS software including ArcGIS 9.x in the development of outdoor products. Assist in determining and executing various methods for collecting and handling geographic data from legacy maps, georeferenced source material and GPS technology. Create commercial-quality outdoor map products as part of a production team.
Qualifications:
* GIS training and/or experience, with a thorough working knowledge of ESRI software, especially ArcGIS 9.1
* Good sense of cartographic style for creation of aesthetically pleasing maps
* Organizational skills and keen attention to detail
* Proficiency with relational database and programming concepts
* Knowledge of Python and other scripting languages helpful
* Self-motivated with ability and willingness to learn new technologies and skills with minimal oversight
* Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and layout software helpful but not required
