The Wisconsin Department of Administration, Division of Intergovernmental Relations in downtown Madison is seeking a Grants Specialist.

Located in the Division of Intergovernmental Relations, this position administers and coordinates the state clearinghouse review process for federal grants submitted by state and private agencies; implements the processing of grants for the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program and provides technical assistance to management regarding resource policy programs; and develops and implements public information initiatives for the Comprehensive Planning and Land Information Programs using publications, the internet and workshops.

Knowledge of personal computer applications including database applications; program monitoring, budget and financial management, organizational skills; ability to analyze, interpret and apply complex program and financial guideslines, ability to work independently, excellent verbal and written communication skills to establish effective working relationships within the division and with the general public. WiSMART, Purchase Plus or some other automated accounting system and state financial management procedures.
