Software Engineer

ProLogic, Incorporated is seeking well-qualified candidates with two or more years experience for a Software Engineer position. This is not an entry-level position.

Duties and responsibilities will include working on a team of developers with the integration of multiple technologies to develop new applications. Additionally, the SW Eng will participate in the development and implementation of cutting-edge graphics, visualization, GIS, and information management software products and have experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Superior candidates will have experience and interest in GIS technologies such as ArcObjects, 2D/3D visualization, and user interface design. Experience with Department of Defense battlefield and/or geospatial awareness visualization a plus.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required:
– 2 to 5+ years of professional experience in the industry
– Appropriate experience with: ArcObjects, MapObjects, Java, C#, C++, .NET
– Familiarity and interest in computer graphics, visualization technologies, image processing, and/or GIS technologies such as ArcGIS and MapObjects.
– Experience with modular software design in general and object-oriented design principles in particular.
– Experience with user interface design
– Enthusiasm for writing great software
– Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Some travel required (5%) both inside and outside of the continental US

Minimum Education Required:
– BS in Computer Science or closely related field

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
– 2 to 5+ years of industry experience
– Demonstrated experience with ArcObjects and software development.
– Previous Department of Defense experience with geospatial/battlefield/situational awareness technologies.
Preferred Education:
– MS in Computer Science or closely related field.

Special Requirements:
– US Citizenship is required
– Must be willing to obtain and hold a DoD security clearance
