The North Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (NCWRPC) is searching for a summer intern (approximate dates June 1 – Aug. 31). This position will be located in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Candidates must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and access to their own vehicle for fieldwork and other travel.
Job Description:
-Collecting data and preparing computerized maps, charts, graphs, and diagrams;
-Collection, creation, analyzing, researching, correcting and maintenance of addresses to support centerline address ranging;
-Generating and maintaining information from compiled information from GIS andlandownership applications, maps and data;
-Aerial photography interpretation;
-Field collection and verification of address locations with GPS, maps etc;
-Use of general office equipment and assisting in general office tasks;
-Using ARC/GIS, ArcView, Access, Word and Excel software.
Candidates should be enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s program in geography, urbanplanning, land records, surveying, or related field.
