Graduate Project Assistant

Duties:

• Assist in coordinating development and maintenance of SCO-maintained websites and affiliated databases.
• Document evolving policies and procedures for SCO web development team.
• Design digital illustrations and publications as needed.
• Contribute to web content, technical publications and the Wisconsin Mapping Bulletin.
• Provide overall office support including displaying at conferences, attending meetings, performing general training, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Background in mapping sciences, GIS or closely related field.
• Knowledge or experience with web site or application development, web content management systems, and/or metadata documentation are highly desirable.
• Willingness and enthusiasm for learning new applications, networking to produce results, and meeting project deadlines and deliverable goals.
• Applicants must be graduate students in good standing and commit to work through December 31, 2007.
