GIS Analyst

Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a junior-level GIS Analyst to work in our Minneapolis, MN, Des Moines, IA, or Muscatine, IA office. Other domestic offices will be considered. The ideal candidate will have experience with military master planning and electrical utility infrastructure mapping using GIS, specifically medium-high voltage electrical systems. Experience in water, sanitary sewer, water resources, and transportation is also preferred.

Essential duties include:

• Manage project geo-databases (file and Enterprise), mapping, analysis and reporting
• Coordinate with teams on data collection and deliverables
• Setup GIS field data collection systems
• Experience in map generation and data visualization
• Develop and maintain GIS web maps and content
• Develop modules to analyze data and automate repetitive work
• Integrate GIS and CAD files
• Utilize raster image processing software
• Prepare reports and technical presentations
• Help project team with quality control and document management
• Occasional travel involved

Required qualifications:

• Must be proficient with ESRI ArcGIS software, including ArcGIS Pro
• A.A./A.S. or B.A./B.S. Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography or related

Preferred qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience, but all applicants will be considered
• Experience with ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS
• Experience with ArcGIS Survey123 and ArcGIS Collector
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with Web GIS
• Experience with GIS programming and automation
• Experience with ETL software FME
• Knowledge and experience with Remote Sensing tools
•  Proficiency with AutoDesk and Bentley CAD/GIS products (AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.)
• Experience with Milsoft WindMil Map software
• Military and transmission and distribution utility experience
• Experience working with engineering data and survey grade equipment
• Good technical writing and presentation skills
