GIS Technician

As a GIS Technician you will be providing support on a variety of GIS related projects for both internal and external clients. The position will primarily be responsible for assisting our team on municipal data gathering and mapping, data analysis, and map development.

What we are looking for:

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Computer Science or GIS related field from an accredited college or University
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive GIS experience.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS v10.x suite
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
• Experience with Geoprocessing within the ArcGIS environment
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D CAD software
• Ability to work within a team atmosphere
• Must possess a valid driver’s license. Regional travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of GIS as it relates to Local Government, Public Works and Civil Engineering
• Knowledge of Trimble or EOS GPS devices
• Knowledge of developing automation within the ArcGIS environment using scripting languages such as Python.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents
