The Geospatial Data Processor will support a statewide roadway project impacting millions of users. This position requires the application of basic geospatial concepts and offers professional development leading to upward mobility within the organization. This role offers training and will be a good fit for candidates who like video gaming and are interested in working with state-of-the-art technology.

Work Environment:

Location: Axim Geospatial Headquarters in Sun Prairie, WI
Initially required to work in the office for 2-4 week training period; thereafter a hybrid schedule will be considered
Pay will range from $16 – $18 per hour depending on experience
Travel

Responsibilities:

Process LIDAR data using third party and proprietary software
Extracting 2D and 3D geospatial information from source imagery and lidar datasets
Identify various types features and associated data from image examples
Insert customer and account data by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents within time limits
Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output
Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents
Apply data program techniques and procedures
Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations
Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
Comply with data integrity and security policies
Insure proper use of office equipment and address any malfunctions

Requirements:

Experience extracting geospatial information from source datasets
Experience working in 3D environment
Understand and utilize basic math
US Citizenship

Experience Preferred:

Associate and/or bachelor’s degree in Geography or related geospatial science or equivalent professional experience
ArcMap, Excel, Google Earth

Ability to navigate the datasets quickly – good computer skills
Attention to detail, willing to follow directions
Self-motivated and independent
