GIS Analyst

Job Description:
Cloudpoint Geospatial is looking for a GIS Analyst to assist project managers with various
project tasks as we help to solve our clients’ problems with GIS. The ideal candidate will have
prior experience with a variety of scripting languages, be able to provide solutions to complex
GIS requests, be able to keep organized and thorough notes, and work well independently and
collaboratively. The GIS Analyst must be a hard worker that enjoys multitasking and is able to
handle multiple requests at once and manage their time well.

Requirements:

• A desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• A strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills
• The ability to assist with diverse and challenging requests for GIS assistance
• Experience with GIS software, databases, and scripting languages
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications
• Ability to learn new hardware and software components
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, GIS or related field

Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate any of the following:

• Two (2) or more years of GIS experience
• Proficiency in Google Workspace Applications
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, HTML, Arcade
• Creating, editing publishing and analyzing data with ArcGIS Pro
• Experience with GIS data cleanup and data conversion
• Experience working in local government, utilities, cemeteries, 9-1-1 dispatch, land records, transportation, or asset management
• The ability to travel throughout the Midwest including occasional overnight stays
• Ability to obtain a GIS professional certificate within 5 years
