MSA has an opportunity for a Senior Survey Technician at our Madison, WI office location. This position will have an emphasis on construction staking and field work supporting various MSA projects. This is a full-time, paid hourly position.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Create right-of-way plats, survey plats and technical drawings for topographical and boundary surveys
  • Construction staking
  • Perform other office functions including data reduction/computations, digital terrain modeling/surface creation
  • Assist project managers in preparation of land survey documents
  • CAD drafting for municipal infrastructure projects
  • Assist in municipal plan preparation
  • Assist in Field work including staking and surveying

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in surveying, civil engineering technology, or related degree preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Surveyor in Training (SIT), or  Certified Survey Technician Level II or III (CST Level II or III) preferred
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • 7+ years of prior experience with land surveying experience required
  • Previous experience with Auto Cad, Civil 3D is required
  • A desire to be in the field and traveling locally to support projects
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. We are unable to provide or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role.
