20-40 hrs/week.
Duties and responsibilities for this position include:
Use GIS tools and languages to work with geographic data.
Process GIS data (TIGER and state agency) for use by state agencies and local/regional governments and write metadata for these files.
Train and work with staff from other state agencies to compile metadata, in compliance with industry standards, for the state agency data that’s available to facilitate local government comprehensive planning initiatives.
This person must be knowledgeable of FGDC Metadata Standards, experienced in address geocoding, geographic data editing with ArcView 3x & 8x, and have excellent communication (written and oral) skills.
