Soil Information Technician

The soil information technician is responsible for accurate and efficient collection of soil and topography information using global positioning systems (GPS) and geophysical sensors. Primary duties will include: collecting high-resolution topography information using an ATV-based mobile data collection system and collecting high-resolution soil information using an ATV-based mobile data collection system. Additional duties will include: migrating data between field and office computers, processing data using a geographic information system (GIS), and maintaining and cleaning equipment.
