The Dane County Land Information Office is accepting applications to develop an eligibility list for limited term employment. If and when jobs become available, qualified applicants will be selected for interviews. Jobs will become available based on project schedules and resource needs. Initial review of applications, including job offers begins as early as mid-March.
Duties include: geospatial data collection, development, editing, and processing; quality control for geodatabase and map product development; and assistance with county GIS data distribution and custom mapping services. Work schedule may require evening and weekend hours, March-December; may work a varied schedule. Hourly pay range is up to $14.50.
Individuals must be enrolled in or have completed a bachelor, associate or higher degree program in a GIS related field, and have a minimum of two years experience with the following software applications and formats: ArcInfo, ArcGIS (including geodatabase), ArcView, and Microsoft Office products. Experience with common GIS scripting and programming languages also desirable. Individuals must demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, be able to prioritize tasks based on effort and deadlines, and possess strong communication skills.
