Planner 1

The City of Green Bay Planning Department is seeking a motivated self-starter to fill the position of Planner I (Physical Planner). Duties include designing street patterns for developing areas and recommending changes on existing patterns; reviewing subdivision plats & survey maps for approval & distribution; prepares engineering studies and other related reports and reviews site plans for compliance with City Codes. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Urban, Regional Planning, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field; knowledge of GIS (Arcview) and/or AutoCAD desirable. A combination of equivalent experience and/or education may be considered. Excellent written and oral communication skills required and a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
