IS Data Services Professional

This position is responsible for entry levelGIS data editing, processing and output services in terms of map development, data interpretation and population of data to a GIS map layer. Develop maps based on information from various sources. Enter and attribute database layer information. Build and verify database layer topology and conduct QA/QC tasks and other GIS production tasks as needed. Continue working with Facilities and Lands staff and BIETA staff on the continuing development of the Boat Access database. 90% Cartographic production a. Geolocate boat access facility locations using customized ARCGis tools. b. Build map processes. c. Generate plot files. d. Run/operate plotter to out maps. 10% Perform other GIS related tasks as needed a. Develop understanding of boat access location files. b. Continue adding new boat access locations from various sources. c. Enhance attribute information in GIS coverage’s using text editors.
