Proxix Solutions, Inc is a market intelligence company that specializes in creating advanced geospatial software and database solutions. Proxix’s solutions are created specifically for Web deployment and serve a range of different enterprises such as insurance, tax, marketing and retail. The Proxix corporate office is located in Palm Harbor Florida; in addition we have a programming office Boulder Colorado, a spatial database development office in Madison Wisconsin and satellite offices in Texas, Georgia and Vermont.

Position:
Proxix currently has an opening in its Madison office for a Senior QC GIS Tech who will be responsible for implementing quality control standards and routines for our in-house geospatial databases. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Working with our programmer to develop QC routines to be run on existing GIS databases.
• Performing manual QC operations when automated methods cannot be produced.
• Fielding questions & concerns from our programming development office in Boulder & current clients regarding existing database structures and maintenance.
• Working with our GIS Analysts to improve the updating procedures.
• Running queries on our Proxix demo web site to verify currency and accuracy of spatial data.

Skills & Qualifications:
Candidates for the Analyst positions must have a four-year degree in geography or a related field with a strong GIS background and experience dealing with quality control issues in regards to spatial data. A clear understanding of ArcGIS 9.0 (or higher) and the Microsoft Office suite of products is required. The Candidate must also have excellent verbal communication skills, as they will be required to communicate both on a technical and conceptual level with several members of our Proxix staff as well as current and future clientele.

Other highly desirable skills include familiarity with Microsoft Access, FoxPro and Dbase programming.
